On a recent Tuesday, me and Hubby were walking along the coastal path when we noticed this mission church. It is situated high above the estuary shoreline mid-way between Porthmadog and Black Rock Sands. It was designed/built in 1912/13 by Henry Harold Hughes (1864-1940) who was an architect/archaeologist from Bangor. Dark local stone was used which was laid in a crazy-paving style fashion. The building is small but tall and is in a prime location.

The gate to the compact churchyard was open, but unfortunately the entrance door by the porch was closed. We looked through a window slat and saw what looked like a meeting room. I noted from the church sign that they hold a service of worship in English at 11.15 a.m. on Sundays. We sat quietly for a while on a sea-green memorial bench in the churchyard and enjoyed a glorious view of Tremadog Bay. Photos to follow........
