This bridge was the subject of much criticism as it was seen as unnecessary by some folks. However it has helped the tourist trade in the area I was informed by a bar owner. Up to now you had to go back to Milford from...More

This Bridge connects the Fanad peninsula in Donegal to Carrigart Village, spanning Mulroy bay. It is a very pretty bridge and quite a feat of engineering, given the tidal rush beneath it. It is best traversed travelling from the Fanad towards Carrigart side since this...More

This modern bridge has little traffic enabling one to pause in the middle to enjoy the scenery. All the Donegal roads are well surfaced

The bridge cuts of a much longer drive round Broad Water and Drongawn Lough. The bridge is over Drongawn Lough and gives great views of the area and salmon fisheries.

I spent a week in Fanad and took this bridge often as I explored the surrounding area. It's a lovely piece of engineering, and my hosts told me that it was very welcome.

We crossed this bridge as part of our drive on the Wild Atlantic Way, the bridge in itself is a piece of engineering. Lovely views experienced on the journey to and from the bridge.
