Lovely walk from Child Okeford along the tramway to the railway project. The volunteers are doing a terrific job and great to be able to stop and a have a drink in the station cafe and sit on board one of the carriages.
Lovely to take the grandchildren to see a real life train with carriages to explore and engines to see. Nice it’s not an expensive ‘attraction ‘ but low key and homely.
My grandson enjoyed having his snack in the railway carriage playing eye spy!

Cycling the Trailway on Sunday I stopped at the Shillingstone Railway Station for a coffee and some cake in the railway carriage, which was decorated for Halloween.
Walking around later saw that a Guards Van, ready for restoration, has been added to the rolling stock.
