On entering the car park is only small , walking to the old station it has been restored with tea room etc .But the site needs a large injection of cash to bring it back to its former glory , local people were working hard...More

We frequently stop here whilst walking the trail way. The volunteers are working hard to get the station and it’s collection of rolling stock as sympathetically restored as they can. There are lovely flower beds and views across towards Child Okeford and the ridges of...More

Shillngstone is a work in progress. It's an old station on the former North Dorset line that's being pieced back together with some dedicated volunteers. They're rebuilding trains, tracks, platforms, buildings and a lot more. This is all done with donations and voluntary effort. So,...More

Just spent a lovely day at this Railway. Please do go along and visit you won't be disappointed. You wouldn't believe what they have achieved getting the Railway back working. There is a cafe/lovely platform gardens plus it's in the most beautiful area of Dorset....More

Lovely walk from Child Okeford along the tramway to the railway project. The volunteers are doing a terrific job and great to be able to stop and a have a drink in the station cafe and sit on board one of the carriages.
