We were not disappointed as the radar display was well done and the bunker displays were quite good. If you have interest in technology of the day this site is well worth the visit. Having our own personal guide added further context. Visiting sites on...More

There are a couple of intact radar and decent displays in the bunker, but I was expecting more. It’s a huge site but there’s not a huge amount there and one of the radar is completely missed by the path. There are much better museum...More

Has relevant historical artifacts in their original setting. Particularly worth visiting if you have an interest in technology. Unlikely ever to be crowded.

Having a family member who survived the landings at Sword beach, it was humbling to visit some of the battlements where my grandfather has fought. When my husband asked to add this museum to the list of places to visit, I grumbled. But I'm so...More

Travelled 40 miles to see the the Wurzburg radar there. Closed and the thing has been dismantled. Nothing in the leaflets I picked up in Normandy said anything about being closed and I wasn't the only one to have travelled to see it. Shame

Looks from the outside a great museum and definitely a one-of-its-kind with all the hardware. When we last came the big radar had fallen off its base which is a pity. Hopefully they will repair it. Unfortunately it seems this museum is open very limited...More

Very informative and well run museum. A bit "off the beaten track", but well worth a visit. I doubt that there are many other WURZBURG antennae in Europe!

Very impressed with the quality of the displays in the two underground bunkers. Excellent short film to set the context (alternating French/German/English). Lots to see and learn about radar. Excellent technical information, again Fr/Ger/En. Some superb models of the base and various radar systems land,...More
