We visited the Abbey on the recommendation of some people who live in Brussels. I cannot believe it isn't more famous. An enormous ruined abbey in a peaceful valley. We took the audio guide in English which was pitched just right - all the important...More

This is my favorite spot in Belgium. Monks settled here in the 13th century and buildings were destroyed and added as the years went by. It's a wonderful spot to ramble around and places that were previously closed have been renovated and opened for rambling....More

We found this by accident in an internet search and we loved it, what a beautiful piece of history. Nice displays and there was a Leonardi DaVinci exhibit with models of some of his machines that was a bonus

Beautiful site even for a familial leisure than for the different show, each season. Pay attention for parking when show, but if not, no issue- great country site around to walk or bicycle.
