Surin Islands is awesome, but keep attention: don't do the trip with sea star adaman tour company. They ask me 1000 Bhat for the tube of the rented mask (that I could buy a full snorkeling mask) fallen in the deep water and it wasn't even my fault: I just slide in to the sea from the side of the long tail boat end the tube fell off. Obviously it was defective because it was a very short jump (I was sit on the border of the boat), and this situation also ruined my tour trip because isn't easy to snorkle without the snorkel all day long! After an argument they stole me "just" 500 Bhat and my happiness...

Rules like no alcohol, smoking in non designated area, loud noise music and talking loudly in tents are not enforced. Staff here have no authority and afraid of bad rowdy guests. I am still here on the island while this is going on.

this place is paradise on earth. the view when you arrive on boat is just unbelievable, the bluest of waters and whitest of sands. we stayed in a bungalow which was worth the extra money as its rains heavy and the tents leak. i cannot reccomend this place enough its just stunning

I give it one star. My Thai wife gives it zero stars. They cook the buffet food a couple hours before it is served. Then it sits around for 2 or 3 hours at room temperature growing bacteria. Salmonella, trichinosis, and botulism. I thought it would be ok if I ordered my food from the menu. The fried rice, basil pork, fried noodles, and sweet/sour chicken all gave me diarrhea. A vacation is more fun if you don't have to poop every 2 hours. My wife ate the buffet and got poisoned. She ordered the fish Tom Yum and the fish was old and rotten. She threw it away. When we arrived we had a few questions for the morbidly obese woman at the snack bar. She was too busy with her phone to answer questions and never smiled in 3 days. All the food prices are double or triple the mainland prices. 10 Baht for a piece of bread. For breakfast you get a cold hot dog, 3 pieces of bread and a half cooked egg. If you want toast you have to cook it on a bbq that has 2 small pieces of charcoal. It took me 20 minutes to cook my toast, egg, and hot dog. You might wonder where all the poop water goes from the tourists. The black poop sewage water is dumped into the ocean on the east side of the beach where you arrive. The garbage is burned on the east side of the island. No electricity from 6:00am, to 6:00pm. When on a snorkeling trip we wanted to stop at a beach. That is not allowed. You have to tie onto a buoy. We'll never go back. The islands are nice, but the staff suck, and the food will make you sick.

This place is great......a real taste of paradise. Best snorkelling so far and I've been to most beaches in Phuket.

Positives: Top snorkelling, and friendly and good guides (Sabina),

Negatives: Ramshackle departure/return point on mainland. No alcohol at all allowed on the islands, and don't even think about having a bite to eat and beer before getting on the speedboat ferry. Nearest 'restaurant' is 16km. Even the local 7/11's on the mainland do not sell alcohol.
Tent accommodation was absolutely fine for me, but I wouldn't bring my missis......if I had one 😭

Wonderful beautiful place. Cristal clear waters, white sandy beaches, forests with interesting wildlife. Excellent snorkeling - many types of corals and colorful fish. Well organized camping area.

This is the most beautiful snorkeling spot if you visit Phuket or Khaolak. The reefs here are colorful and full of fish. If you are lucky enough then you might get to see the turtle :). The sea are like turqouise so clear and blue. You can stay overnight on this island but it will be a typical tent or guest house since its located in the military teritorry.

Really nice trip, unfortunatelly a long way from Phuket, 1.5 hrs driving and another 2 hrs by boat. the islands are nice and few people around. The gipsy camp a bit dirty, they could at least do not throw their garbage in the sea.

The island is beautiful but I found it very expensive (the entrance 500 thb, food and drinks triple price than in another parts of Thailand....)
Also beaches were very dirty with lots of plastic, and the staff of the National Park did nothing about it. Travelers, we were the ones doing the cleaning. Staff of the National park were quite unfriendly, doing nothing almost the whole day....
Also saw several fishermen boats close to the beach: this should be forbidden cause it
is a national park.

It is a pity ¡¡¡
