The Sto Nino Church in Poro is the Oldest Intact Church in Camotes. The other Churches have been renovated that they already look new. Worth a visit. Ask your tricycle driver to go to the Church of Poro.

This Catholic Church dates from 1847 and while closed during my weekday visit, the facade was beautiful and evocative making a great photo in this attractive hilly town. There is an adjacent high set grotto featuring the Virgin Mary at which some schoolgirls were praying....More

The Church is located on Poro Island and is the oldest church in Camotes Islands and is dedicated to the Sto. Nino. The town was founded in 1701 and the parish was established in 1849. The church’s original belfry was destroyed and a new one...More
