Hi there - I am hoping to nab a spot this Saturday 22 September but I note it is the long weekend. If I arrive midday - what are my chances of pitching a small tent and not being too crowded in? Thanks!More

Hi Isabel, highly unlikely. Our visitor centre is waiting on an update from the caretaker or ranger this morning but as of yesterday the flow of campers coming in was very high and Sandy Cape is expected to be full by lunchtime or mid afternoon...More

Thanks for your review Kerrie, we've had great feedback since the camp was extended and new picnic, BBQ and shade facilities were installed, as well as new toilets. We look forward to welcoming you back with your family for another visit.

We chase this park based on Trip Advisor reviews, rather than free camp with our caravan. Road in was 95% bitumen with just a little bit of unmade road as you approach the park. They has hosts who were welcoming & helpful. We chose a...More

Camped here for a week. Right on the doorstep of the beach this is an amazing spot. Few facilities, no showers, and so ideal if you want to feel like you are in the middle of no where but yet on the doorstep of so...More

We were going to stop at the freecamp at Freshwater but have tried to do new places this trip, so Sandy Cape was our next choice. $10 a head. Right on the beach. White sand. Clean / large sites. Rhonda the caretaker was lovely. Quiet,...More

Came here for an afternoon picnic and it was such a lovely spot with stunning views. It is a very clean area however the wind was up that day so we were getting blasted wiht sand. Lots of parking and rubbish bins.

Thanks for your review Kerrie and agree about the weather - we've had all seasons lately! But as you said, it's still a lovely spot, especially since additional parking, picnic areas and ablutions were recently installed. Thanks again, glad you enjoyed your visit.

Great camping area on the edge of a protected beach cove, no showers but clean toilets. Reccomend this place to stay if looking for a back to nature experience, but with the IGA 10 mins away.

This was truly beautiful & untouched. Small café available for snacks & drinks. Went for a walk to beach & then up to lookout through dunes, which was beautiful

We were on our way somewhere else and stopped here briefly. But we liked it so much we just lazed on the beach for a few hours and never got to where we going. It is a lovely spot.
