Established in the 2001, Island Spirit is the most experienced yachting company in the Gulf of Thailand, weather you’re looking to learn to sail, charter a yacht, buy or sell a yacht or just looking for in on cruising here in the Gulf, we’re happy to help. Our Sailing school operates year round from our base in Ocean Marina Pattaya.Our charter yachts operation in Koh Chang from Oct thru May and Koh Samui June thru Sept.

The Zero to Hero course in Phuket was absolutely brilliant. Accommodation and logistics were excellent; communication before, during and after the course were wonderful; and most importantly the teaching was top-notch. We were given focused, detailed attention and were allowed to 'learn by doing' in a controlled environment. I'd highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to get started with their sailing.

The boat burnt a liter of oil an hour and left a kilo long slick behind us.
No tender so we had to rely on the other boat to get to shore and back.
Two of us were left on shore by our passed out captain one evening. Luckily we contacted someone on the other boat to come get us.
I personally wouldn't waste my hard earned money on this company.

Was a wonderful sailing week with Island Spirit 410 catamaran from Salakpeth, Koh Chang base. We visited Koh Wai and Koh Kood island. Islands is stuning, especially Koh Kood, You can spend here week or more and explore unspoiled places and many local restaurants and small resorts. Sceneries are memorizing and unforgettable!
Island Spirit Charter team and services is perfect choice for experienced sailors or families and friends.

Magical bareboat yacht charter around Koh Chang archipelago for a week. The team were fantastic from start to finish helping out with many things before arriving as well as when on our charter. The area is just stunning with many secluded beaches and bays that you can anchor at. It exceeded our expectations!

A magical 8 day sail on an Island Spirit 410 catamaran from Koh Chang. The islands are stunningly beautiful, the sunrises and sunsets are unforgetable and the cruising area is surprisingly unspoilt with tranquil anchorages. The boat was superbly equipped with everything we needed and James and his team at Island Spirit went the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful time.

Koh Chang area is amaizing and exploring by boat it's the best experience. You can find small islands with beautiful beaches that you can't reach otherwise. This was our second time here and our catamaran was very confortable, very well maintained and equiped with all you need. Charter team ensured the provisioning and we highly appreciated this service.

We are a group of 9 friends who enjoyed 10 days of sailing in the Gulf of Thailand on a spacious ,clean and very well equipped boat, being provided oustanding service by the Island Spirit team! Amazing experience we highly recommend!

Excellent sailing area, great service and a very warm and welcoming staff. Our boat was provisioned before we arrived, we have done the briefing and in no time, sailing... The island spirit 410 Vesna Catamaran was awesome!

During this horrible Covid time my wife, SUVEERA, and I have chosen to spend our Songkran Thai New Year - 2564 away from human beings and super distancing AWARE !!!!Â
For our cruising this time we decided to go and visit the marvelous Koh Chang Island bordering Cambodia the most east side of Thailand an archipelago of incomparable Beauty and Thainess very far away from the tourists.
Briefly 'Ja', my wife's nickname, a semi professional Spinnaker packer “Sewer rat“ a Legend of female spinnaker packing in East Asia and I, a pit man, both of us climbing up the racing ladder for the last 20 Years starting with our Trimaran Corsair F 24 culminating with Kodo a TP 52 under Ben Copley racing Team.Â
Back to Koh Chang we chartered Northern Star a spiffy Bavaria 45 the top of the letter is shipmaster. This is our second Bavaria 45 rented from island Charters.
The yacht is a modern madness all electrical/ electronics controlled by a touch panel.....for the oldest of us beam me up Scotty!!!
Phil was on call 24/7 and calmly explained to us, two old sea dogs (Ja better looking than me for sure), how to navigate the electronic hurdles and any others on the way hitch up.Â
Also note that Phil was stretched to offer base assistance to 4 more yachts out at the same time we were out.Â
We will definitely come back to Koh Chang archipelago as so many places still to be explored.

The islands are quite hilly and the bay is quite deep. You can find a place to tuck down in bad weather. The Trees and nature are blooming above and below the sea . Some of the best swam in deep water from the stern swimming platform if you charter a Bavaria 45 !!!!!Â
On the various shore visit the Thainess extend to all restaurants we have visited in Ko Wai, Ko Mak delicious food and lovely people ashore .

Just finished 6 days on a Bavaria C45. Had a great time with my wife and family. The staff here Phil and Craig are great - they really know the local area and so the briefing was excellent and we ventured out with confidence. The boat was nice too. This area is stunning - many nice beaches and great places to eat and drink onshore too. It's all quite close by without huge distances to travel, yet with great nearshore sailing grounds too for practicing the tacking and gybing. Excellent! Recommended!

Hi Shirish, I am afraid we do not. This someone that does do shorter skippered charter from Koh Chang, you can check out the Facebook page by searching for Mandala Sailing charters, I think his website is not responsive at the moment, best to stick with FB.

Gulf Charters do offer skippered day charters on either a 44ft sloop or a 38ft catamaran. Best way to find out details is to email them direct from their website
