I were in this place last in 10 years ago and compare on year 2022. It change a lot. The tree surround look really green. Beautiful and good for wheelchair people. The place look clean and a lot of parking area.

Very quiet with a stunning view. There are some vendors near the entrance along with a large sunflower garden, but there isn't much to this place besides the Buddha in the mountain. That said, it's still stunning and unique.

Buddha Mountain is an extraordinary sight located just South of Pattaya. One side of Khao Chi Chan mountain in 1996 was used to carve out a 109 x 70 meter image of Buddha which can be seen from miles away. Khao Chi Chan (Buddha Mountain) has become an iconic landmark in Pattaya & a popular tourist attraction.
This giant golden Buddha carved into the face of a mountain cliff, Afterward the entire Buddha image was filled in with gold leaf. This "Sukhothai Style" image depicts a seated Buddha with hand on knee. It's really a masterpiece of art and admiring of Lord Buddha. The Buddha image was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of King Bhumibol.
A short walk along paved paths will bring you right to the base of the mountain. There's a small lake at the foot of the mountain. There is a number of salas and pools filled with lotus flowers giving the place a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere.
When we were going to Ramayana Water Park (by a group tour), we saw the Buddha Mountain and we decided to visit it after Ramayana. So after finishing Ramayana, we hired a van and we went there and come back with the same van.
There was a huge parking lot there and it was very crowded in the afternoon but when the sun went down, it became empty and the complex got closed and we had to leave the area.
When you are in Pattaya make sure to visit the Buddha Mountain. It is eye catching and breath taking artwork and it’s really worth a visit.

The big glass Buddha Mountain makes an impressive impression (literally) and is an excellent short visit, side trip option, if you are in Pattaya. We found it was an easy drive out ( from the more famous beaches and bars of the area) and back. There are interesting gardens and paths, as well as wide open town square structure at the foot of the hill, to also enjoy. In my experience, the Buddha Mountain is definitely worth checking out (see my YouTube) and don't forget your camera.

This place had improved a lot with ample parking for cars and big tourist buses. Many food vendors near by. Land scape is beautiful, so many great views for taking pictures

Regardless of your religious convictions or persuasions, this is a beautiful & peaceful place to visit. Whether you say a prayer to Buddha or not it doesn't matter, you will have been enlightened just for having visited!

What a magnificent view of the Buddha mountain. This place is peaceful, spread out and not packed with tourists. It’s about 45 mins away from the city. Better to plan it with other nearby activities.
