It’s a free experience, but it’s a decent trip from Pattaya. There are some food & beverage vendors located just outside the sacred area & toilets are available for a fee.Visited February 2023Travelled with familyWritten 11 March 2023

It was lovely just strolling around for about an hour. There was also places to have food which I also enjoyed.Visited March 2023Travelled soloWritten 1 July 2023

Another memories to treasure in our hearts experiencing one of the historic places in Pattaya which is the Khao Chi Chan mountain. This photogenic rocky outcrop with a Buddhist temple as its base, and it was mainly known to the local community. In 1996, its status changed. In commemoration of the King's golden jubilee, a large image of the Buddha was carved into the face of the rock user laser technology. My heartfelt thanks to the EXTRAORDINARY job performance Nok. You really had the PASSION of doing your job BEYOND EXPECTATION. You WIN our hearts Nok with your very AMAZING PERSONALITY. My SALUTE to you Nok - you're the BEST!

The Buddha Mountain or Khao Chi Chan is a limestone hill in Na Chom Thian that has become a Pattaya landmark due to its large 109 m (358 ft) by 70 m (230 ft) golden Buddha laser engraving, made from gold - 999kg!
The Khao Chi Chan Buddha image is the largest carved Buddha image in the world.
It was created in 1996 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the coronation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and for Thai people and Buddhists for spiritual practice.
The area surrounding the mountain is full of heavy clusters of grasses, shrubs, and trees including teak, acacia, Siamese rosewood, black rosewood, and various fruit trees such as Indian gooseberry, black plum, and ramontchi.
The Buddha Mountain is a popular place for leisure activities, mediation, celebrations, and dance performances
We visited here during our recent trip to Pattaya, Thailand. Really very peaceful and impressive place to visit, whenever in Pattaya.

Very quiet with a stunning view. There are some vendors near the entrance along with a large sunflower garden, but there isn't much to this place besides the Buddha in the mountain. That said, it's still stunning and unique.

It is located not far from Jom Tien beach. With the laser created big Buddha upon mountain, making magnificent view. It’s worth for getting picture and walk around.

Totally agree.. so much time, money spent in Buddha propaganda but little time thinking about his teachings..

How can I go to the Khao Chin Chan from the hotel in pattaya which is near to central festival?
Which way is better to go there and how much did it cost?

This is a bit tricky.
There is no established public transport, i.e. a bus route, subway, etc.
Best bet, I would say, would be to charter a songthaew baht bus. Negotiate the price with the driver. If you prefer a taxi, most hotels in Pattaya will be able to book one for you. Agree on the price before leaving.
You might make a day of it and visit nearby Wat Yangsangwarrarum, which has lovely grounds, and some nice displays teaching some of the dhamma, the principles of Buddhism.
Silverlake winery is close to Buddha Mountain as well. There is a pleasant restaurant there for lunch.
I have found the "hire a driver for the day" option works well. Especially nice to take a closed taxi if the weather is warm. Done it in Laos and Cambodia several times for 1,000 baht/day.
I know one outfit from Pattaya offers eight hour car and driver for 3,500 baht, about one hundred ten dollars US. A bit more here, but better car, probably, and definitely more comfortable roads.
Be careful! I came for a three month visit five years ago, and am still here. :)

Hello Everyone,
How do I get there using public transportation?
And if there is no public transportation, can you guys give me a tips to go there in the easiest way.
Thank you.

As far as I know, there is no scheduled public transport out there. I'd either take a metered taxi there and ask him to wait, or negotiate with a song taeow driver to take you out there. Just make sure you are clear that the price you agree on includes him waiting and the trip back.
