Visual Carlow is a great arts centre, and free to visit for art exhibitions. There's a good and varied programme. When we visited we thought the nine stones collective was the best exhibition, but also liked the video of the artist who rowed down the Barrow in a home made boat. Not an original idea but well executed and an... More

Great facility for the town and some really interesting pieces on display when we visited. There was a documentary on showing the history of the beet factory in Carlow which was very interesting. Wonderful opportunity to see the work of local artists.

Highly recommend this gallery for contemporary art. Great building and great café. Modern space and a gem in Carlow town. We'll worth a visit and check online for forthcoming exhibitions especially the open submission for eigse.

I visited for a live music performance and the sound was great. Also impressed by the amount of parking. Ticket prices are always a bargain.

Carlow is very lucky to have this wonderful, modern arts centre & venue. The art is often eclectic & may not always be to everyone's taste, but it's well curated & presented.

Perfect for a night out with ample parking, and food and bar on site so you can combine a show and meal in the one venue.

This place is fantastic. Excellent set-up for exhibitions and a wonderful theater with comfortable seating where you'll have a great view even if the person in front of you plays for the Lakers. The space is very multi-purpose, can be used for a wide variety of events and indeed the program has quite an offering! The staff are very welcoming.... More

Attended a Spotlight Show here recently. Wonderful venue! Explored the Arts Display and Gallery beforehand. Enjoyed it immensely!

Went with some friends to see the musical " menopause " at 5.00pm. We all sat in row J Despite being a full house, the design of the theatre means there are no awkward poles or angles. So not matter where you sit, you have a great view of the stage. The sound was really good. The seats comfortable. Its... More
