Kandersteg is a beautiful quaint village in the Swiss Alps...magnificent hiking. You want for nothing here. Have been here on many hiking holidays here and just want to keep coming back. The Hotel Bernerhof is the best place to stay!

This was my first Via Ferrata although I have climbed for 25 years . I loved it. Get a guide if you are not familiar with the equipment. Lots of exposure , but if you have a head for heights just do it,

This was a great experience to get into the train with the car .. costs 27 swiss frank but save an hour to cross the mountains.. We used it while going to Zermatt village.. Friendly staff and well organised with late transport till 11 pm..
