The children enjoyed this afternoon out. Lovely walk down by the river and around the mill. Volunteers very helpful and made us welcome. Nice tea shop. Will be back

Easy to park with overflow parking field. Walk around reserve lovely includes some board walks. Swans, ducks, dragonflies etc. People taking picnics, large area to sit on the grass, on your picnic rug. The water Mill is free to enter, staff friendly, able to watch...More

With volunteers who enter into the spirtit of re-living the history of education this preserved school really comes alive. The galleried classroom, Lancastrian open plan area are full of atmosphere and totally unique.

This is a very special place. The mill is fully restored and operational producing flour and crushed oats. All machinery is visible including the water wheel. The process is fully explained and the operators are there to help. Fantastic for children and ours were amazed....More

We visited the nature reserve with our doggies. Despite living in the area, I had no idea this place existed and was pleasantly surprised by the idyllic surroundings. The reserve has a lovely circular walk, which we are the pooches enjoyed.
