This was a really interesting museum which gave a glimpse of life in the ancient times. It was a unique experience because what I know from books sort of became alive because of the artifacts shown.

Specially for children this museum is a must when beeing in the Ahr-Valley. Even the location is not really challenging, the details and history is thrilling.

Can you imagine actually being able to walk on the same path as the Romans did? See how a Roman villa or inn functioned? This was an interesting look into the history, life, art and everyday life of the Romans.

walk in the tiny streets of an ancient Roman villa, brought here from Rome. It was covered by a mudslide and preserved until recently uncovered. Highly worth seeing it.
