We were not planning to drive the Model, but our family in Germany said it was worth going out of our way - they were absolutely right! This is a MUST SEE. Some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever witnessed. My boyfriend doesn't even...More

Our time in the Mosel Valley was spent driving from town to town, stopping to simply enjoy the scenery, have a bite to eat and watch the other travelers and locals. Since the roads were quite flat in many areas it definitely was a place...More

Bernkastel-Kues is my favourite place on the Moselle. The town is full of quirky buildings, cobbled streets and amazing bier kellers. The steep sided banks are full of vineyards where you can buy or sample the local wine.

A beautiful town on the banks of the river Mosel. There are numerous restaurants and bars in the town. Plenty to see in the town and nearby.

On our river cruise, we saw many beautiful towns along the river and our favor is Cochem. It is big enough to have many restaurants and things to do but small enough to feel relaxing. Aside from wine tasting, we did…like many others bike along...More

We had a boat ride up the river. We went to the castle at Bernkastel-Kues. A beautiful wine growing area.

We enjoyed an excursion to the Moselle valley to visit a winery. Seeing the vineyards with their neat rows of vines, stretching up and across the mountains was very interesting, and the rheisling was great too.

We stayed in the Mosel Valley for 2 nights during our 3 week holiday to Germany. We had just come from spending 5 nights in the Rhine Valley and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Mosel Valley. It is definitely quieter than the Rhine...More

I would like to suggest to rent a car from there. That is the best way to go up and down the Mosel Valley. In our case we stayed longer in Trier and move up and down up to Cochem travelling along the Mosel. Midway there are... More

I was on an Avalon Waterways tour and am SO glad I took the excursion to the Moselle Valley. I'm sure they are the same. The scenery is unbelievable!
