This wooden structure lets the salty water from the natural source drip down over maximum surface area provided by bunches of twigs. In doing so it lets the fresh and salty air diffuse all over the end of the park. The Gradierwerk is 18 meters...More

I never saw such a structure before. I know other places dedicated to healing by using thermal water like Roman baths in Spain and elsewhere, but never saw this. I find it was a wise idea to help people by providing them healthy air to...More

Plain in some ways but worth a visit just to see how big a project dedicated workers can build. Also worth the modest entry fee to get a close-up view of the works and feel the micro-climate created by the evaporation, almost an air conditioning...More

A unique and very impressive structure. Have only seen one like it in the Kurpark in Bad Salzuflen. The one in Bad Durkheim is 4 times longer, much higher and extremely impressive.

amazing place to visit and take in the sites. Can't believe the annual winefest is held in the wurstmarkt parking lot. It seems so small but when you visit the fest, it looks gigantic.

As far as I know the last existing Saline in Germany. And in my opinion really worth a visit. It's nice to take a little walk around the Saline and inhale the fresh air.

This is quite a feature in the town and a strange sensation to walk around, and realise that by the time you have done so, you are "salty". A huge, impressive structure.

A short walk around but nonetheless very interesting and definitely worth a visit if in the area. Fairly cheap to get in

I ran a couple of times around the Gradierwerk and could clearly taste the salt. It was a windy day and probably I got even more from the healthy air. Unique experience! It is great to see the smaller scale models near the small river,...More
