Friendly ride up and down. Lots of facilities at the top including a restaurant, walks are also available around the summit and the summit cross is a must just to touch and look out over the mountain tops. And yes the toilets facilities are fine.

We took the first gondola up at 9:15. It was free with our visitor summer card. I think it would have been 20Euros each return. We hiked for 2 hours at the top on a lovely sunny day so the views were great. The sculptures...More

The gondola ride up the mountain was quick and spectacular. The 360 degree view from the top is indescribably breathtaking. This is worth making Ruhpolding a destination or at least a nice stop- off for a visit to the town and this incredible mountain.

As we took a road further on our moto-trip, we stopped at the Rauschbergbahn. It is a lift that takes you to Rauschberg mountain. We waited a loooong looooong time to get in. Maybe too long for my taste, but once we got up (after...More

Going up in the morning meant that there were a large crowd in the cable car which could be quite claustrophobic but we had a smooth an quick run up to the top. There were some lovely walks and the views were fantastic

Beautiful high alpine views with an excellent restaurant and interesting sculpture/arts trail. One trip on the cable car is free, but there are great walks down the mountain for those needing exercise.

We did catch a bus from a bus stop near the railway station in Ruhpolding. We also returned by bus. There is a little restaurant at the top, such a lovely place to walk about. Enjoy your trip.

yes you can, but we didn't do it. I think you can start at the Woodcutters Museum. The local bus will stop at Labau. From what I was told it may take up to four hours to reach the top.
