Nice lake but major tourist trap. Looks much more attractive from above. We did the 7km walk around the lake but was a bit disappointing as half is along the main road with very little view of the lake. There is also very little lake shore if you want to sit or swim. Best bet is to go to the main lido and take a towel for the grass or hire one of the plastic sunloungers available.

Don’t. That’s it. The Seerundweg is a scam. They should call it Highwayrundweg because you walk on a highway for most of it and don’t even see the lake. Only the little town is worse than the “Seerundweg”. Overall very touristy, much better places to see in the region - don’t waste your money or time.

This is a beautiful and not small lake. It is exciting to hike by boat, the tour is not long, but it is interesting and very peaceful. On the shores of the lake there are good restaurants, souvenir shops, and tranquility and pleasant relaxation. Very suitable for a half day trip

Excellent location with lot of buzz from the tourists. Plenty of eateries and restaurant around the lake with a few fun activities like the boat rides and tours which can be done. Lake is clean and beautiful and views around the lake is scenic with lush greenery surrounded by dense trees and forests. Must visit if you are around that region. Parking is chargeable.

Scenic lake. Perfect size to walk round with kids without too much fuss! The lakeside town is a bit touristy, plenty of gift shops etc but you don’t have to walk far to be out of all that and in the peace and tranquility of the lake and surrounds.

Lovely lake to walk round be aware though that there is no path round the lake right on it’s shore. About 25% of the walk is a few yards from the shore, the rest is variously wooded path or road. Often on the walk you can’t see the lake! Nevertheless it’s highly recommended.

Our family of 5 we’re traveling to Europa Park (4 hour drive away), so we decided to book Titisee for our overnight stays. We were happy to relax by the sea, and it was less than an hour drive from Titisee to Europa Park. Enjoy!

Its a nice picturesque lake, but too crowded to go for a swim or other water activities I felt. Lots of restaurants, cafes and tourist shops around. There are other lakes around that area which are but difficult to access but are equally beautiful with less crowd.

Went on excursion from Rhine cruise ship. Didn't really have time to appreciate the lake. The village itself is a tourist trap. Tacky shops or very expensive ones. ditto cafes. Needs a whole day to see the lake properly or don't bother going.

Beautiful small lake. Beach area has many restaurants and cafes. Not taccy. Shops sell regional goods. Train station is within walking distance of the lake.

Je ne suis pas sûre de vous être d'une grande aide pour votre question. Comme le temps était bien peu clément quand nous y étions, je n'ai pas vu d'amateur de paddle. Mais franchement, je pense qu'il n'y a aucun problème pour en faire. J'ai vu des accès au lac qui pourraient bien vous convenir! Profitez bien! le site est magnifique! Très joli lac de moyenne montagne!

Hi, Can somebody please guide me what is the best public transport to reach Lake Titisee from zurich Airport ZCH. I have a 2year old baby and would like to enjoy a train or bus ride rather than taking a taxi.

Hi, have a look at sbb.ch, it's the Swiss train website, there is possibility to travel from ZRH airport to Titisee with changes & will take more than 3 hours.
Personally I recommend to rent a car, will take much less time.
I went to a hotel called Hofgot Sternen, Breituan last week, it's less than 15 mins drive from Titisee.
I'd the package which included the breakfast & dinner, also a "Hochschwarzwald" card, this card includes lots of activities, these activities are family friendly, however, the location are not exactly close to each other, so it's a better idea to rent a car.

Hello, did you walk from Freiburg to lake Titisee? Or did you take any buses from Freiburg first?

We were going to take the train from Freiburg but a replacement bus was operating. The bus took about 30-45 mins I think, very scenic, but train probably would’ve been more so!

I need some advice for traveling Titisee in winter, especially around the new years day!
I am planning to go there on January 2nd. If I go there at that time, can I find some restaurants opened? I am afraid that there is no where to eat something😭 thank you for helping me

I need your advice on the best sightseeing plan on Titisee Lake.
We are with a baby, so we will be using the baby stroller - 1.8 years old.
I need to know where is the best parking lot for the car and to see the lake, and even take a small boat for a tour.
In addition, I understood that we need to buy tickets for the boats. Where is the nearest tickets sales shop? Is the payment per hour?
After that, we are planning to visit the Baden Paradies Schwarzwald. Could you please let me know if we should buy the tickets in advance from the website or should we buy there once arrived?
Maybe we can park the car in a place where we can use both Lake and water-park without moving the car.
What is the parking rates? It looks like we will be an entire day.
And finally, and recommendation of restaurants nearby?
Much appreciated in advance.
