As expected, the bus tour from Zurich to titisee was nice, with wonderful views of the swiss and German countryside. The lake is serene and the town around it is great for shopping and eating. Do not forget to try balcknforest cake which owes its...More

Came upon the lake by accident back in 2009, and have returned three times to visit and stay. With the Schwarzwald Card available from hotels and inns in the area, many attractions are deeply discounted or free. Always enjoy cruising around the lake or visiting...More

We took a rowing boat which was very nice oh the one hand, close to the water, and adventurous, but it was difficult to navigate. Next time we'll take the pedal boat, there are some with slides, so it is easier to get to the...More

A pretty lake 850m above sea level in the Southern Black Forest. With cards issued by the hotels, you can ride on the boat trips each day or hire a small boat - or just walk round it.

A real tourist place with plenty of souvenir shops. The views over and around the lake are stunning and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. A big car park close by too.

Titisee is only small but attracts many tourists. People come to look, sail, eat and bush walk. We rode our bikes around the area. Sadly we couldn’t ride our road bikes around the lake cause of the gravel surface. It is a busy place but...More

We were going to take the train from Freiburg but a replacement bus was operating. The bus took about 30-45 mins I think, very scenic, but train probably would’ve been more so!

I wasn't actually there on a Sunday - I imagine they would be as it's very touristy, in fact most of the shops tend to sell typical tourist 'tack'.
