Gotha is a cute tiny city, but it's worth the detour, mainly because of Schloss Friedenstein. The castle itself is a great attraction, but also the diverse collections are amazing.

T he schloss dominates this pretty town. We only visited the outside and walked in the park. It is worth the walk for the amazing views. Strange to think that members of the British royal family walked here.
