Get the ferry on the edge of town about a fiveteen minute walk along the promanade. It takes about the same time to cross the Rhine.Its ferry service is on going through out the day. And its cheap. worth the money and crossing

Took an afternoon trip along the river and thoroughly enjoyed it. Decent amount of seating on the upper deck and the servers were attentive to all the patrons.
