The Altes Rathaus is certainly the highlight of the lovely town of Bamberg. It is a beautiful combination of different architectural styles, from half-timber to frescoes all on the bridge that connects the two areas of town. Truly a sight to see and appreciate

The architecture is just outstanding- prime spot and close to everything. Loved the wall and the little wooden bridge - a true beauty. Worth the visit.

The Rathaus is a terrific looking building and bridge combined. It provides access from one half of Bamberg to the other. A little touristy, but then we were tourists so can't complain.

The old town hall is interesting with its position in the center of the Regnitz River; and architecturally with the combination of stone, half timber, and colorful fescos on the sides. Really this part of town I enjoyed the most. Great spot for pictures and...More

Inside this there is an interesting museum housing an excellent collection of German ceramics. You also get good views from the rooms of the river Regnitz and its attractive banks.
