Is simply amazing this Dom as many other in Europe is really amazing and shows the magnificent of the old school. Religion represent power and money. This is an example of a nice place for nice people. A nice to see o. This town

Bamberg Cathedral is Romanesque with four grand towers. Originally built by Henry II but rebuilt 80 years later following a fire. The Horseman statue inside is Worth seeing.

The cathedral itself is dark and in need of internal cleaning of the stone, which may be underway.Beyond that, it is splendid and ornate, with much gilding. Summer 2017 there was serious scaffolding over the main altar.

Just opening the 12-15 foot door to enter the building starts your impression of this grand place. Yes, there is a large amount of scaffolding on the inside (and some on the outside) but when you catch glimpses of the work they are doing it...More

The Dom is a fine building, unencumbered by Baroque or Rococco tat. The finest thing of all, though, is the magnificent Domritter statue that predates the Renaissance by two hundred years but demonstrates a superb appreciation of both human and animal form

Spectacular church with much to see. Spend the 1 Euro and get the booklet explaining the art and history of the cathedral.

Hi, We visited this year and I see from the plan that the Sacrament Chapel is marked number 13 and is on the left hand side entering from Adam's Portal just before The Chapel of the Nail. Hope this helps.
