The exhibitions are not very "coherent"... different "stuff" on display
"summer '39" (life in Constance during Nazi-time)
"Charakterköpfe" (portraits, drawings, pictures... old history of Lake Constance)
a lot about "Constance history" which was interesting (movie about the "Konzil" (600 years ago!)
This place has a collection of stuff that spans pre-historic times (lots of fossils) up to World War II. But, all the descriptions are only in German. There is a booklet that has a few words in English about each room. There is a film...More

This place had many different areas to explore. You can explore it for a full day, nice outing with a group. Enjoyed the butterfly garden and the different types of flowers and trees. Decent lunch areas, can stop for icecream and take a walk overlooking...More
Konstanz has a rich history and this museum does a good job of giving an introduction to the city's significance as well as the Bodensee region. There is a significant amount of information on the Council of Constance.
