The old town is closed to cars so people can walk the streets. The buildings are typical German (so nothing unique). All I saw were shops selling stuff and places to eat; in effect, an outdoor mall. Not what I was looking for, so did...More

Nostalgic and relaxed quarter of Konstanz. Tourists most stay close to the water and harbor. So here you can still feel relaxed having a glass of wine without being only treated like one out of thousand tourists pasding by each day.

Didnt expect that in a town known to be a harbour but altstadt is magnificent with many shops and very close to the lake and bus station.

They were preparing for advent season with many lights, hanging garlands, and ribbons. It was quite lovely.

Great place to have a wander to kill an hour or two. Pleasant streets with plenty of distractions, including coffee and cake!

This is probably one of the prettiest cities in Germany, especially the Old Town. It's great for walking, dining and photography. Definitely looking forward to going back.

The architecture in Old Town is amazing! We enjoyed walking around town looking at the buildings and visiting the shops. It was definitely more crowded than I thought it would be. It was difficult to find parking, even in the parking garages.

Lovely part of konstanz to have walks and get lost. I recommend there to go early in the morning or late at night, as it has a specific flair when it's not that crowded.

Konstanz is spread out on both sides of the Rhein and most visitors opt for the old town and harbour area. Parking can be difficult and although the majority of cobbled old town appears pedestrianised the odd car and van can surprise you . Not...More
