This is a hidden gem in southern Schwartzwald. Located in the center of Badenweiler inside a beautiful park, the ruins have been well excavated and are beautifully presented in an all glass structure. An audio visual presentation takes you back to the second century to...More

We received a private tour for our group. Our guide was very knowledgeable and it was great to have someone tell you the history versus trying to read all of the displays. It is truly amazing what the Romans did in their time.

Very easy to see. You will get a great appreciation for Roman engineering and cleverness. Good video in English and other languages.

An interesting small ruin, with nice signs explaining things (though all in German). Located right in town.

Not spectacular, but very nice. You can do this as part of a longer walk. So, i wouldn't miss this if going to Badenweiler. For a few Euros in loose change you can see a display at the bottom.

I had never seen anything like this before. The beauty is in how well preserved the site is. It is almost like being there all those 100s of years back. Children would also like this place, as would grown-ups. There is also a discount for...More
