Marleshwar Temple is located in Marleshwar of Ratnagiri district. It is a cave temple and is circumvented with sacred grooves. The presiding deity is Lord Shiva.

On of the most picturesque Shiva temple I have visited. This was built by the Pandavas during their exile. Do visit in monsoon for the best scenery.

Marleshwar is 18 kms from Devrukh. Near the temple, Dhareshwar waterfall can be seen. Best time to visit is in monsoon. It is also called land of thousand waterfalls.

The climb took us around 18 minutes at normal pace wth 2-3 photo stops in between. There are proper steps. but we were breathing hard since our fitness levels are not upto the mark. However we had 2 senior citizens above 70... More
