It's September, and there's hardly anyone on the beach, so this may be an inaccurate picture - but let me paint it anyway. The town centre beaches consist of soft, clean sand. Offshore breakwaters provide a series of lagoons where the water is calm and...More

Lovely day out for the kids and family next to a historic town. There was a nice restaurant on the beach. With plenty of space for the family this was a good beach.

Beautiful beaches, not packet but really cold water! Pebbles beaches and amazing city! Worth spending a few hours enjoying the sun!

The beach runs right through the town but out towards the east you can walk for a half hour or so and find places where your nearest neighbour is 20m or more away. You can drive there too, although they charge for parking, but it...More

Dark sand, little cove created artificially with wave breakers. Excellent and popular place, no room to change but excellent showers. Sea was clean. Easy to park around

We headed for the beach with our teenagers. Had all sorts of French beaches over the years, this one was fantastic! Head out of town (West) a little. Here we parked up for free all day which is a bonus. The beach was totally sandy...More

There are some depending on the area you are in and the wind. We rode horseback out on the dunes and along the beach and didn't encounter any at all until we went behind the dunes and into the marsh areas. We had on mosquito... More
