A fine sand beach marking the southern edge of the Camargue. This is a stunning area, the swampy Rhone estuary. It is notably populated by wild bulls, white horses and flamingos.

Lovely clean beaches with series of stone breakwaters giving protection from waves and currents. Plenty of space to spread out and free parking right next to the beach area.

Relaxing beach for families with young kids. Current wasn't too strong while we were there and water temperature was fine. Well, we are from Belgium...

During our trip to south of France we took a bus from Arles to Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer beach. It was in July. Weather was perfect. Friends and our kids enjoyed the beach. See was bit cooler and perfect for the warm day. We had a walk through...More

The beach across from Le Dauphine Bleu is divided by jetties and quite shallow for a long way. The water is warm and the beach sand is cleaned every morning. Plenty of restaurants a short walk away and bathrooms spotted along the beach.

This seemed to be a decent beach. I went in March, so I didn’t go for a swim or anything — I just walked out to the end of a jetty and took in the surroundings. The village around this beach was pretty quiet at...More

The beach has fine sand - not as white as we get in Australia - and is fairly well protected. It's very popular with families and others. There were a number of topless bathers when we were there but they don't get a second glance....More

Good parking, showers along, nice sand, many places for smalll kids, nice clean water and so much space that it is quiet. Yes, to recommend.

We very much enjoyed our day at Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer beach. I can imagine it would get very busy in August (we visited on a Wednesday in July), there was lots of parking in official car parks and parking spaces on the nearby streets. The beach was...More

There are some depending on the area you are in and the wind. We rode horseback out on the dunes and along the beach and didn't encounter any at all until we went behind the dunes and into the marsh areas. We had on mosquito... More
