Large airy gothic cathedral with noble arches and high ceiling, a UNESCO World heritage site is the showstopper of Amiens. A visit is obligatory when in town. We went in the morning, it was almost completely empty. There's a parking lot just by the cathedral.

THE site to visit in Amiens. Must not be missed. A short report cannot possibly do justice to the incredible history architecture and art which reflects the power and wealth of the Church which you can witness in all its glory.

We visited here 7 years ago as they were beginning the cleaning of the outside. They have finished since and it looks amazing. The resolution on the statutes and carvings is incredible. The inside will also blow you away with its high ceilings. Truly special.

There is a tour that takes you up there and you need to check with the ticket office and shop to the immediate left of the Cathedral. Google Amiens cathedral Tours for more. Don't miss it.
