The stained glass windows are my favourite point of interest in this beautiful cathedral closely followed by the wonderful architecture of the building. Simply exquisite stonework outside and stunning glass inside.

A stunning Cathedral with a very interesting history, sadly we just a little too early to see it illuminated (lights go on Dec 1st) but still a wondeful sight and well worth a visit.

Staying just 2 minutes away in the mecure decided to visit during the day, was pretty empty on comparison to other European cathedrals I've been to. Walked in and the organ was playing which was amazing whilst walking around making it more atmospheric. Huge inside not the most decorative inside but the front is one of the best I've seen... More

I have wanted to visit this Cathedral for years and finally made it! We saw the last laser light show of the year illuminating the famous west end sculptures. Next day I spent too long walking around the labyrinth and missed the best parts in the Chevet. We were rudely sent away because it was being closed for a funeral.... More

A really huge cathedral. Very beautiful and uniform. Organ music playing made it really magical. There is a good paper guide available in many languages by the main entrance. It's worth getting.

A simple guide leaflet is available, but compared to UK cathedrals, facilities for visitors are limited. This does mean that the simplicity of the building... More

Decided to attend the Sunday mass, you don't have to be a Catholic to be impressed by this place. The acoustics are amazing, I've never heard an organ reverberate around such a large space with so much force before.

Firstly pop into the Tourist Office just next door to the cathedral and hire a audio guide, lots of languages to choose from and almost essential (for those with little or only basisc French as everything in the Cathedral is in French) they cost €3 each. The audio tour takes about 1 1/2 hours and starts outside teh Cathedral before... More

Magnificent architecture and full of history. A must see at Amiens. Visited on Nov11 celebration of end of WWI. Stories were posted along the walls and the memorial stones from countries fought in the conflict were moving.
