This is a must visit museum if you are staying in Lille or the surroundings. It is only a 20 minute ride on the metro or bus and well worth the effort. The Art Deco swimming pool has been restored sympathetically and when the light...More

We visited the afternoon of Tue 4 November, only ten days after the renovated museum reopened, having driven from Calais. The small museum parking area was completely full. Fortunately we found a metered street parking space nearby but, if you are travelling by car, it...More

We felt so lucky to be able to see the museum with its recent renovations. The art is by less known artists (at least less known to these Americans) but was beautiful and interesting. The second floor had a wonderful selection of textiles to view....More

The staff could smile a bit more and more clear signposting in the direction of the temporary exhibitions would be appreciated rather than just telling you you can't go a certain way. The art feels a little disjointed (it switches between styles) and, frankly, the...More

This once a public pool from the Early 30’s turned into a museum is so beautiful architecturally and so eclectic with its artworks. From sculptures, textile, to paintings, it offers varied artistic work for everyone to enjoy.

The museum was generally constructed in an old abandomed public pool giving it an unconventional feel but the displays and exhibits will surprise you with their recent collection of Picasso’s works.

We went here on the metro but only to find that it has been closed for renovation since April and reopens on 20th October 2018. The restaurant/cafe was open but you could not see a lot.

You all must go to this museum, it is amazing. The architecture and statues are beautiful, however there is no censoring names which could be offensive, however this adds to the statues.

This is situated outside Lille, easy top get to on the metro. Had to use google maps once there from the station, so check out the route before you go, it's only about a 5-10 minute walk. The museum is unusual as it's based in...More

Visited on recommendation from friends, easy 20 minute tram ride from Lille Flandres station. Amazing transformation of old swimming pool into very varied museum - paintings, ceramics and special exhibitions. Includes a Meert tea room. Closing for renovations on 01/04/18.
