Who knew that Boulogne was the the departure point for Claudius to invade Britain ? Learn this and so much more with a visit to the crypt. Well laid out and informative. Well worth a couple of hours. Only 5 euro with concessions available.

Very dissapointed experience. I had an other view of a crypt. This is a museum and not a crypt. Too much money to see what it was.

Quite amazing how the crypt has been lying undisturbed for so many years but has gradually been excavated over the last few hundred years to provide a great spectacle--a great treasure for Boulogne and for visitors, you must visit.

We went to Boulogne in August, just for the weekend and visited the crypt to get out of the sun as it was nice and cool down there. Glad we did because it was very interesting once we got in. Good entrance price too.

Good and nice that people get to touch the artefacts but the commentary on the device they give you to listen to is thunderingly boring full of architectural detail and little or no human history of the place.

I left feeling that I needed to come back. This was a chance visit on a day-trip to Boulogne and there's a lot to see here. Next time, I'll opt for the audio guide, I think. The site has had so many used over the...More

Well worth a visit if you are in Boulogne's fascinating Old Town. Well presented and all exhibits have an English description. You get a (small) discount when you buy a joint ticket for the Musee.

A wonderful addition to a stunning venue. Clean, cool, tidy and informative with friendly staff. A veritable treasure trove of interesting architecture, items and treasures. Available in multiple languages. We loved it so much, we visit regularly.
