One of the 5 templar villages within an hour of Millau. The circuit is well signposted and it's a pretty drive to see all of them

As mentioned in another review, St Eulalie is another Templar village. However, it's devoid of much of 'touristy' touches that spring up in most of the other villages. We found it delightful and would go back for a second visit. Parking is free and a short walk from the village..

Easy drive and easy parking. Beautiful church and remarkable little streets. We really enjoyed walking around and seeking out the hidden little alleys and streets

Spread throughout the Millau region are 5 Templar villages that embody the Knights Templar. These crusaders were known for their bravery, their financial acumen, and their health care services. This village is not as spectacular as say "La Couvertoirade" but still paints a picture of life in the 12th century. Mostly disbanded and then persecuted by the RC Church after... More

St Eulalie de Cernon Nestling in beautiful countryside under the edge of the Larzac plateau the Templar village of St Eulalie is still contained, mostly, within the massive defensive 16th century walls. At the centre is a very pleasant shady square with a fountain, and a café which is only open in the high season and at weekends. Around the... More

We did the trail around the Templar and Hospitalliers castles. The Commanderie was interesting and the free guide was more than enough for us to get an idea of the place.

Visited on a day where they had been having a fete the night before, so the tourist office and church was closed, and the entire town reeked from portable toilets placed everywhere, so I was not that impressed. Quite frankly, with the lack of eating and drinking facilities there seemed to be there, I would strongly suggest you visit La... More

This is a must for those following the Templar salt route up from the mediteranean. A Villagewith a unique calm ambience. Shady trees and a fountain in the centre provide serene relief on a hot day...
