I had read about this place, they have great publicists. I drove across it, which like many drives can be anti-climactic. But there was an interesting visitors center with a pretty darned good movie, probably no more than 10 minutes. I went out of my...More

Arrived here on a trip from Montpellier back to Denmark. We chose a detour of 210 Km and were not disappointed. In perfect weather we saw this example of perfect engineering, and the beautiful view from the visitor centre. Certainly worth a visit.

Amazing work of engineering. From a distance, this marvelous bridge looks like a thread going through a bunch of needles, litterally! Absolutely worth a visit to admire its beauty and ingenuity. Try driving across the bridge (costs 10 Euros) to really appreciate its beauty and...More

I have driven here several times and always stop to admire the view. Drawn by Sir Norman Foster but designed by a French engineer and built by a French construction company the Millau viaduct is superb. Stop to admire the view from underneath as well...More

Last year, we took the highway crossing this spectacular viaduct and decided to stop at the information centre/museum to get detailed info about this monument. There, we found many documents, videos and full-scale models explaining the design and the construction of the viaduct. We spent...More

Barcelona to Millau by car (or minivan) is a 4 hour trip one way. Unless your group is totally into great engineering feats only I wonder if you would not like to extend your trip to include the (reconstructed) middle age... More
