Very moving to see 10,000+ grave sites. Unbelievable sacrifice by these brave soldiers fighting for freedom in Europe. Peaceful setting--glad we made the trip from our home in Germany. Seeing the French and American Flags on each grave was amazing.

This is the largest American cemetery in Europe. It does not have the crowds of the Normandy cemetery but in many ways it is more solemn by its size and lack of large numbers of visitors. If you are driving through this area of France...More

Visited the American Cemetery yesterday. It is very well maintained and a solemn reminder of the history and sacrifices of men from our country. Well worth a visit to pay our respects to those who gave all.

Had read about this place but to actually go there it is something else. It is vast and it's a very sombre experience really pulls at your heart strings.

We visited this cemetery one frosty early morning and besides a few crows we were the only visitors that time, which underlined the sad but solemn atmosphere of this place. It was very impressive breathtaking experience.
