Even if archeology isn't your thing this museum is worht a look if only to get an idea of the wealth of the region in prehistory. In the UK half a dozen bronze axes is a significant find; out here there are hoards with hundreds....More

I am addicted to archeology and old buildings, thus this place set in a lovely (16th century?) house with magnificent fireplaces, ticked all the boxes. It was quite deserted and the 2 staff I met were very helpful and friendly. As for the exhibits, well...More

This museum doesn't go on and on and on ... it goes up and up and up, with each floor covering a different period. The building itself is an archeologic wonder, and don't forget to visit the garden in the back.
