I went to Bordeaux to meet a good friend and she planned a visit there in English for me saying that this place is amazing. They said her it's at 2.30h pm. We arrived there at 2.20 pm and they told us the visit already started at 2 pm and we were late. The boy said we should look where... More

I'm really glad I've decided to visit Chateau Pape Clement. Chateau is beautiful and wine tour and wine tasting was excellent! Since I work in wine business I'm always sceptical visiting popular touristic wineries but this was really surprised me! First of all it is very near the city centre Bordeaux and if you don't have a lot of time... More

We chose to visit Chateau Pape Clement for 2 primary reasons, firstly the property is perhaps the closest to our residence, secondly we were fortunate enough to enjoy a bottle of Pape Clement 2000 a few months ago, and it was exquisite! We chose the €20 tour, as with 4 teens any more would have stretched their patience too far.... More

The 5 Senses Tasting is one of the most unique wine tastings I've ever done. Book this surprising way to discover the wines of Bernard Magrez and you won't be disappointed.

We stayed a couple of nights in the beautiful suite of Chateau Pape Clement facing the garden and wine yard. The Chateau is peaceful and quiet filed with souvenirs, arts and history, fabulous.

The castle itself is very well preserved and carries a beautiful history as it was indeed owned by Pope Clement in the XVIth century. The garden hosts a 2000 years olive tree and a 200 years Lebanese Cedar. It was a guided tour in English but unfortunately I could not understand well what the guide was saying. She gave the... Had a 30 min guided tour with a very nice female guide. Unfortunately her french accent was a bit too strong sometimes so it was a bit difficult to understand everything (especially if you don´t have english as your native tounge). Despite of this I enjoyed the tour a lot. Did some wine testing afterwards and it was also a... More

The venue: beautiful, the tour: charming and interesting. The wine: well, having to taste two lesser and relatively uninteresting wines by such a renowned wine maker is disappointing. But the third and main wine was a frustration. The glass was smelly, the 2007 Chateau Pape Clément - 2007 being not a great year for wine in the region - was... More

This chateau is only about 40 minutes by car from the centre of Bordeaux so very accessible. It is extraordinarily beautiful and the grounds are beautifully laid out. The Grove of olives is well worth a visit. These trees in the Avenue of Graves were planted as early as 207. Imagine standing next to a tree that is really as... More
