We arrived in Jezzine just after mid-day and the sleepy village was quietly tucked in to the side of the mountains. We had come for a glimpse of the waterfall so we decided to get a good view of it before stopping at any of the cliff-top restaurants nearby that offer panoramic views from above.
We asked at one of the restaurants where we could get a nice view and were directed past the restaurants, down the mountain where the road winds around and twists into a bumpy, rocky lane where you can walk along to get a few nice pictures of the waterfall.
Perhaps because it's summer, and there is a distinct lack of rain, but the waterfall itself was a little underwhelming. The view over Lebanon's famous mountains however was absolutely gorgeous. In fact, the route up to Jezzine and the little village itself were more impressive and interesting than the waterfall, so it was worth the drive. I can imagine it would be truly breathtaking in winter though.

Jezzine Waterfall, known as the fifth highest in the world, recently they have put a gate, but i was lucky to get there before the gate was placed. The best time to visit the waterfall is during winter, because the water do comes from the snow.

The drive there was worth it. We made a few stops to Deir El Amar and Beit El Dein which were magnificent. They made the trip worthwhile. The waterfall to me was mediocre. It was not even crowded to ruin my experience but can’t say it was magnificent.

We drove about 30 minutes off the main coastal road to get to Jezzine. After eating a snack at a restaurant located next to the falls we looked for a place to get a photo. Up the road was a small terrace that gave a limited view. By taking the car into the center of Jezzine and turning right at the church we took a wending road down where you could get a shot of the falls through a locked gate. If it had not been raining. it would have been worth a hike from the valley up to the falls.

We Drive one hours extra to Jezzine to enjoy the waterfall like you can find from other visitors. We hab the last two days rain but there was no waterfall. The bassin behind the fall hast not enough water, so they still Colleges water and don't let some out for the waterfall.
I hope you will find the waterfall in flow!
But every visitors can enjoy the great view to the valley.

Nice escape in nature...even not too much water due to season, but still impressive like the road to it, too. There is a park near it (you can relax, play with children or eat there), also a lot of restaurants (quite expensive, but more likely for the view). The way down to waterfall was this time closed, but it worths. And if it so hot, do not miss H2O pool, which is 5 minutes from there.

We drove here from beirut as part of out tour of lebanon. The drive up on its own was very worth it. We made a couple of stops to take photos. There are fruit stands that you can buy fresh produce from and snack on for the rest of the drive. The roads are well paved and again the views are breathtaking. We couldn’t find the exact spot where you can take photos near the waterfall but we ended up getting great photos. We walked in a little village looking at the houses and there is even a church that is being built and it’s right on the cliff. We had an amazing lunch at Al-shalof and there is a Virgin Mary monument nearby that has some stairs that you can climb and take some more great photos off the cliff.

I did not go down to the bottom of the valley to experience the waterfall from that perspective. But I did spend an hour at the one cafe right above it--from where you can see the river cascading over the ridge and falling to its landing spot below. The views from the cafe--of the Jezzine wadi--are amazing. The experience of the waterfall from this perspective is a wonderful way to get a feel for Jezzine.
