Visit on Easter Sunday meant having to have lunch to get beer. For historical inn, missing the ambiance or decor. Food and drinks good though and if in the area would recommend a stop

This may be the oldest pub in NZ, but it just looks tired and run down, like the staff. Sorry, not impressed. Some locals we spoke to even acknowledged our concerns. Sad as it could be much, much more.
