This is the oldest remain of writing on a tall stone. About year 800. Informative in Swedish and English. But some friend lacked more language. Good with shop and bathrooms. As close to Stockholm E4 motorway nice stop for a tourist

It was neat to see an old Viking rune stone with names going back that far in history. But it's literally a some in a churches garden so... That's really it.

One of the largest stones in Sweden. Nice visit! Placed outside the church and easily accessed. Close to Tåkern, Omberg and Alvastra.

It's a nice free attraction to visit while you are exploring south of Stockholm. There is a church and a small shop that sells all sorts of great gifts. Note that it's only open September till April with pre booking.

Rune rock with the longest rune writing. It is still undeciphered in its meaning. EAsy to find, clean bathrooms, ice cream and a gift shop. there are also picnic tables for bringing your own food.

This was an interesting place to visit. We didn't take the guided tour but thanks to all the information at the site we were able to learn quite a few things about this runestone.

At july it is guided, then it is more worth a visit, wintertime it is just a ock with some signs. History, yes, but overrated.
