This was one of the highlights of our late spring trip to Michigan. The best part was the acres and acres of white trillium along the road. It looked like what I envision heaven to be like! In late May there were very few cars,...More

My husband and I really enjoyed the drive. It was beautiful. Along the drive we saw deer and turkey. Along the drive there was a pull off with a great view of Lake Michigan.

It's truly a sight to behold, and the smell was perfect. This is how fall was meant to be experienced, and I would urge anyone who can go, to go when the fall is in swing in Michigan.

Caught the last of the fall color. And caught the first snow of the season as well. Nice drive down narrow winding road. Not good for those prone to motion sickness. Scenic view of the harbor and makes you wonder how they get up those...More

Due to the proximity of the Great Lakes, Petoskey will stay a bit warmer than inland cities and so often lakeshore communities experience fall color change a bit later than others.

Not sure about information center, not that I recall? There are some cute shops to stop at along the way, plus a winery as well.
