There are two tour of the underground, the first it's about 20 minutes and the second 1 h. Both very intersting, excellent guides. I advise to visit the place. It was a very good experience!

The tour lasts about 1 hour, no more. You should choose the guide that can explain the history of these tunnels under Viterbo. It's interesting to know about what happened there. I suggest this tour to discover another part of Viterbo, after the Terme, of...More

The whole thing took about 45 minutes. We had a little audio player to tell us what was presented at different stations. The underground tunnel is very short, but the quick and comprehensive description about Saint Rose was great. The WWII use of the tunnels...More

The tour itself is quite short because they still don't have much in terms of these underground places (worth visiting in 2018, when they gain more underground "cantine" from the residents) but it was still very interesting to hear the background of this city and...More

The tunnels have a short, audio guided tour (20-25 min). It's different than many historic sites, with much of it requiring imagination of the events described. But if you are going to Viterbo in the summer, it offers a cool break from the afternoon heat,...More

You need to book and do check you have the correct language tour! A stroll to get to the first set of caves. Lots of steps inside and quite narrow. We had a good tour of several caves, lots of interesting information about their history...More

The names of the underground are intriguing as well as the square it is found in. I did the recorded tour which was worth it because I could go at my pace, which was quick. There is not much to see underground, but a few...More
