Found the Villa Argentina from Trip Advisor expecting to see pictures of old Viareggio. Instead we found an exhibition of pictures by Marco Manzilla, circus pictures, fantasy, cycling and swimming gouaches. The house is Art Deco,1925 and well worth visiting for the interiors.

a really interesting look back at old Viareggio through lots of displayed black and white pictures, changing fashions and way of life, and free entry.

When we visited the display was photographs of Viareggio from the past and was wonderful to see how things looked at earlier times.

A real gem, beautifully restored, used mainly for exhibitions. It can appear rather sparse when there is no exhibition present.

On a recent visit to Viareggio we saw an advert for an exhibition called Shifting Boundaries at the Villa Argentina so decided to go. It was well worth it. The exhibition was good but what a wonderful setting the villa made. It is only small...More

It may be small, it maybe free, but this is an elegant small mansion which is well worth a visit. A very high quality restoration project has brought this 1920s villa back to its former glory, when Variaggio was at its cultural peak. The rooms...More

A wonderful Villa in Liberty style, with nice frescos and paintings; ther is a Ballroom to visit; there are exhibitions; there was many Liberty style in Viareggio, this Villa is one of the nicest; if you find time don't miss to take a look.
