The place is beautiful and a little more preserved than the other beaches in the area. Wish the waters were calmer, but for an easy staying with family and friends I just can't think of anywhere better within 50km. 😊

A nice clean beach, cornered off by sea rocks, which gives a pool-like effect during medium/low tide. On the day we went there, not a lot of people were on the beach. There are tables with beach umbrellas to sit at, but only when you order something to drink or eat. Some vendors are walking around, trying to sell you their goods, which can be a drink, some typical food with cheese and fruits, jewelry or souvernir objects. If you're not insterested, you can politely tell them no, and they will understand. Unlike in Salvador, where you have to insist 3 times, before they leave you alone.

Arembepe beach offers a taste of traditional Brazilian fishing villange and a hippie location with his village, "Aldeia Hippie" that sattled years decades ago. It does not feel to be in a touristic place hoever the village has good facilities and interesting and cheap palce to have food. I really reccomend to spend a day or 2 in Arembepe, if you are a surfer eventually can be an interesting spot to have a go!

Very nice beaches outside the district area. Non fashion place, but recent urban interventions have improved pedestrian area and squares with pleasant places to walk around the village. Arembepe is a popular district where social different classes meet and pass weekends during the hole year. If you want to be in touch with fishermen and native people, that´s a place to consider.

Great beach to relax and scape from the crowd. You can see local families having fun and very few tourists.

Arembepe comes just after the beach of jaua and is just as crowded on the weekends as aforementioned.
It is however a little better in all senses - the public, houses, etc - but not by much

Arembepe is a bit off the main tourist circuit and most people will stick to Salvador or to the beautiful beaches further North in Sauipe, Praia do Forte and Imbassai. However, Arembepe is a beautiful beach, with charming restaurants and interesting stalls offering local crafts. Overall it offers all the amenities you would expect from a beach in Bahia, without some of the disadvantages of some of he most famous beaches.

Boa tarde!
