While in the Val Gardena we went up the Ciampinoi twice. The last time was to do a tandem paragliding. There are many hikes from the top. Or you can do like I did and jump of top and glide to the bottom. Highly recommended!

This ski lift is efficient, and from it you can go down the slope Ciampinoi (red or black, both good) towards Selva Val Gardena (and Sellaronda) or you can ski on Saslong (red or black, though I prefer the black one) towards Santa Cristina (and...More

What a super skiing place. Wonderful slopes and snow as well as lifting cables. From here you can follow the Sellaronda tour and reach many places: Corvara, Alta Badia, Canazei, Arabba.

From Ciampinoi, a short round-trip walk of a couple hours or so (with time to enjoy the scenery) can be made to the Sella pass (Sellajoch), skirting the base of Sassolungo. Views are superb the whole way and the walk is easy. Go down the...More

Sella ronda and the entire skiing domain in Val Gardena as far as Cortina is outstanding. I would definitely go back to this area for skiing holidays.

The crowds can be endless and obnoxious as this is THE entryway to the mountain in this area. Get there early and try to ski the mountain without returning too often.

Try saslong descent to see how good you're in skiing. Champinoi is also a good starting point to reach Secheda - another gem for skiing.

Cable car whisks you up to a beautiful up walking area. Many mountain huts available for refreshments at very reasonable prices once you reach the summit. Wonderful mountain flowers.

Hello, if you know where you are going in Italy, that will narrow things down. Many major ski resort towns have lifts leaving conveniently right from town, but look into the specific town to see if a walk or transportation... More
