About
Built in 1888 as one of the first mountain huts in Val Gardena. It's located on the sunny side in the middle of the Nature Park Puez-Odle with a stunning view on the Sassolungo and on the Odle mountains. Perfect starting point for different walkings and hikings. The kitchen offers fresh local dishes and there is the chance to sleep in rooms or dormitories. Open in summer from 1st June until mid of October.

We loved the remoteness of this rifugio! The views were stunning, Tamara the host was so great and helpful. They had a beautiful huge patio and the rooms were cozy, clean and quiet. It’s the perfect place to stay for a rustic Tyrolean mountain stay! Grazie Mille for a great stay!

Rifugio Firenze - there can't be a better place to spend a night and explore Secada.
Located in a gorgeous location, hiking up to the hut is a real treat.
Our room was cozy with a great view and comfortable beds. A sink in the room is a great touch of comfort.
The staff is very polite and friendly.
Being a vegetarian is not a problem here as they have few vegetarian options in the menu.
We had fries, vegetable soup, spaghetti pasta, orange punch and home made wine. The food prepared was good and palatable.
The hot shower for 3 Euro with no time limit was great. We needed that after we got wet after our evening to Secada.
I recommend this alpine hut in Odle, with numerous hiking trails.

Our one night at Rifugio Firenze was great! We stayed one night on our trek through the Puez Odle national park. I was impressed by the cleanliness and friendliness of all the staff. We ended up having a dorm room to ourselves, which was a nice surprise. The bathrooms were clean and the food was great! The views surrounding the area are impeccable as well!!!

I have been there few times just for quick stop along the way, but i want to contribute with a positive review because they deserve it. they not only served me a coffee with kindness but reliable when asked for infos about the trails, and when asked for water for my dog immediately gave me, truly genuine and good staff.

A good place to make a stop and have a cold beer. You don‘t come here for special good food. It‘s ok but you get spoiled with good food in South Tirol. I had mixed sauteed mushrooms. They were slimy overcocked and tastless. Some garlic and herbes would have done wunder. The tuna sallad was boring uninspired. The service is nice and super fast (everything is already prepared and cocking for hours)

The best part of hiking in the Dolomites (well, after the spectacular views) is the network of rifugios. Every mile or two along the trail you come upon a place like this where you can get an excellent meal or even spend the night. It was very relaxing to sit out on the terrace, gaze across at the Sassolongo, and sip a tall, cold, radler (beer with lemon--perfect on a warm, sunny day)! Typical tyrolean food was also very good--but the setting was the star!

My husband and I had a late lunch here after hiking Seceda before we took Col Raiser down to St Cristina. Refugio Firenze was a most welcome respite to us. We both had the eggs and speck on roasted potatoes which were delicious. Hiking companions had kaisersharren. We had never heard of it before...but it looked delicious and they said it was. Service was good and we really enjoyed our late lunch here.

We had our lunch here but we weren’t too impressed with the food. I guess it’s better to stop here just for a drink instead of a meal. Polite and quick service

Visited for lunch before descending on foot to Selva & Plan after exploring the paths and the wonderful views after ascending on the Col Raiser lift. My wife had a ham sandwich while I had Penne Cacciatore, speck peas & mushrooms with penne pasta which was very nice washed down with a skiwasser. The hut was very busy but we were served fairly quickly which was impressive.
