This is a truly charming place. One of the best italian beaches. Lots of pinetree forest areas. Affordable hotel accomodations. Excellent tourist office with upfront friendly staff.

San Vincenzo has expanded their marina in order to provide not only upscale docks for small to medium/large boats, but also to provide a promenade for the city that is appealing to tourists and locals alike. Although there are many nearby islands, ferries are docked in the larger port of Piombino. Placed on the levy is a playful sculpture of a sailor which has become the logo for the town.
The new promenade is landscaped and has a number of shops and restaurants most of which are open only during the warm weather months. There is even a hair dresser, Barbara Unisex Styling where you can drop in or make an appointment for everything from a massage to a great new hair style. You can also shop for clothes and trendy household items.
Private beach clubs and public beaches line the coast and there is a beautiful long distance view of the landmark Villa de Stefano.
August 15 is the feast of the Assumption and peak season. Fireworks are set off over the water and you can view them comfortably from popular waterfront restaurants.
The only flaw in the design is the triangular common area which is lacking in large shade trees which are sorely missed in the heat of a Mediterranean summer.

The marina was rebuilt and the port loses some of its beauty as the new seawall blocks the ocean view but you can walk out onto the levy. Many fun restaurants line the seawall with many visitors enjoying drinks, lunch and dinner. The main shopping street of this small town is a short distance from the marina which makes the area that much more attractive. Trains stop in the town centre and are very close to the marina area. Further down the marina has many stores and apartments near the beach. San Vincenzo is a lovely seaside town.

This area has been done up very nicely.

Ideal for an evening stroll, or day time stroll come to that, where you can watch the sun dip below the horizon.

If you like boats then this Marina will make you drool with envy. Plenty of high end boats and yachts here to admire.

Most of the eateries and cafe's are in the main are of San VIncenzo but there is a small selection in this area.

We love San Vincenzo. Came here four times the last five springs. It's a charming town. And the Marina is a very lovely place for a stroll. We especially like to come here for an evening sunset stroll before heading to dinner.

There are a good number of boats in the Marina. And the yachts were getting bigger and bigger in numbers the past few years. Looks like San Vincenzo is getting more and more popular.
There are a good number of restaurants right by the Marina, in springtime mostly open on weekends and holidays. A few are open weekdays as well. But we never headed into one....we have our favourite restaurant somewhere else.

It's a nice, calm and quiet spot here if you visit on a weekday. If you look for hustle and bustle then the weekend is for you. A nice Marina, nice views and wonderful sunsets.

There's a good underground parking lot just by the Marina. A good safe spot.
