Only attempt this walk if you are relatively fit with strong legs! We are in our mid 40s and class ourselves as fairly able as far as hiking and walking are concerned. We managed this down-hill trek in about an hour and a half. We recommend you take it very slowly and rest a couple of times on the way.... More

We started next to Villa Cimbrone where there was a sign that pointed down for Minore and Amalfi. Not sure if this is right, but it worked. I think there might be another path too. Just keep following the steps. When you come to a tile that has arrows pointing to Ravello on the top left and right and Amalfi... More

The walk down was so beautiful although steep in areas, it did take it out on my knees and glad I was going down not up. Other than that I was so worth it, it's one of the best experiences of the holiday for me personally

Fabulous views on the way down. If you think going down steps is easy, wait until you try this. It goes on and on. You need good knees.

A beautiful and invigorating walk down to the sea for expresso in the morning. A tough climb home, but you will have earned your lunch with some beautiful pictures and memories.

Do this walk if you get a chance. It feels like walking in the shoes of the villagers hundreds of years ago. I'd go down - quite a few steps!!

We walked down (caught the bus up to Ravello) - I'm sure the walk up would be tough. But going down gave us some fantastic views. Just make sure you look for the little signs or you can end up off the proper path.

We did this as a family and walked from Ravello to Atrani then Amalfi. Just follow the white arrows painted on the pathway. A serious hike and you need to be in shape a bit but we recommend it.

The walk leads from Atrani to Amalfi and you must take care to stay alert for drivers. Amalfi is right around the corner and the church steeple is on the right.

Shame you have to take your eyes off the view so as not to trip on any of the (many) steps down. Well worth the effort thoug, as the walk winds down and through the pretty town of Atrani.
