Because it is a great way to spend some time and soak in some views. We always walk down and have lunch then take a taxi back up. We tried to take the SITA but the bus was too full and no guaranty of next one.

Planned to take the bus up and walk down like people suggest. But the bus was full and wouldn't let us on. So, we decided to walk up as well. Today is Sept 19. Was 70 degrees when we started. Got up to mid 70s today. Walk was a lot of exercise each way, but spectacular. Glad we did it.... More

Nobody said there were just straight up steps to Ravello. Wow were we beat! Should have practiced in the Empire State Building! Don't do it unless preparing for marathon or triathlon.

....than the one to Atrani/Amalfi. The steps are mostly terraced rather than steep if you stay on the right track. Still a bit tough on the calfs and knees but a lot safer. You can walk onto Maiori but note this is on the road with no pavement...

My wife and I together with our three young children (12, 10, 7) walked down from the centre of Ravello to Minori. Waking along the narrow paths in the heat, past old grapevines and lemon groves was truly spectacular and one of the highlights of our trip. We loved it so much we did it the next day. From the... Escape the tourist crowds in Ravello and follow the path down to Minori on the coast. There are many steps down , flat walking shoes recommended, and though there are handrails in parts a stick or walking pole is a help too. Stop along the way to marvel at the spectacular scenery unfolding before your eyes. Terraces of grapevines, olive... More

We walked down to Minori from Ravello three times during our week in Ravello. It is a lovely walk with LOTS of stairs and the path is well marked. It takes about 30 mins to walk down. You can get a water taxi or ferry from Minori to Amalfi. The beach was super crowded on Sunday and we could not... More

Worth the effort to get there and the fantastic town square, but don't stop there, keep going through Scala to Amalfi, stop at the fabulous Trattoria L'Antico Borgo in, Pontone and spoil yourself.

This walk is not suitable for the elderly. I am relatively fit and managed to climb the 1300 steps in 35 minutes, but it cannot be done quicker. Absolutely do not do it in the summer, as it is exhausting in heat. It is even fairly tricky in April let alone in the scorching August sun. The walk does have... More

It is really so nice as others promoted. There are many paths from Minori to Ravello. Nice panoramas, lemon gardens, flowers... One of the best experiences(maybe the best), in the region...
