Looks cool from most view points as it sits on a peninsula and can be seen at all angles. It gets very busy with walking tours. The church itself inside is small. The door is interesting with various sculptures of people on it. The views...More

You simply cannot visit Portovenere without visiting this church. Try and go late afternoon to catch the sunset which is spectacular from the balcony outside the church. This history of the church also interesting as it was built in the year 1277 in honour of...More

Lovely little church with a great history but sometimes tough to get in as there are many weddings being held.

Enjoyed walking up to the terrace and getting some nice 360 views. The grotto can be seen from here. Interesting sculpture of a woman on a bench.

Great view—worth the hike! Free! Better than the castle for 5€! Simple church inside, but the grounds are breathtaking!

Past the shops and restaurants. Past the grotto, you come to a very quaint little church perched on the last little bit of rock. Very worth the walk.

Really a lovely little church, slight uphill walk to get there but not bad. A wedding was taking place when we first arrived so church was closed to visitors but once wedding party left we were able to go in and enjoy the beauty of...More

You can see this church on your boat ride in. And honestly, there's not too much to look at Porto Venere besides this church anyway. When we visited this church, there was a wedding going on so we couldn't enter the main sanctuary but we...More
