The ferry was only few euros, and the ride short, so nothing to loose really, with an easy return.Tickets were available without a line, on a day that the large ferry to Cinque Terre did not run. The views from Palmaria were nice, the ferry...More

A vert good hike around the island, though you'll need a map just not to get disoriented. Be sure to stop at the restaurant.

Worth a walking visit for a day (take a picnic if out of season) but expect to need boots for the drop down to and climb out of Pocalle, especially if the weather is wet.

Fun little island for hiking, exploring and swimming. The trails were well marked and we were able to circumnavigate the whole island. No crowds here!

We arrived by ferry from La Spezia but you can also ferry over in just a few minutes from Porto Venere to enjoy the trails, beaches and beautiful views.

The ferry boats to the island leave from a point a little nearer Portovenere town than those to the Cinque Terre. There is a small ticket office in a kiosk, and tickets are only a few euros each. There are bench seats on the ferries...More
